For most models, 2 GB should be sufficient. You'll need enough memory so that the model and raytrace can be stored in memory and not paged to the hard drive. We would also recommend a multi processor / core machine since Photopia is multithreaded. Since Photopia is processor intensive, you'll experience best results with a fast processor.
